Bangladesh Vs Toss India has decided to bat
Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and decided to bat in the opening match of the five-match Twenty20 series against Bangladesh in Sylhet.
In the 2024 WPL, Mumbai Indians’ breakout star, big-hitting spin-all-rounder S Sajna made his India debut. The visitors opted to field a three-spin attack with Deepti Sharma, Shreyanka Patil and Radha Yadav and two pacers in Renuka Singh Thakur and Pooja Bhastrakar. Radha, the left-arm spinner, returned to the playing XI after over a year and an excellent WPL season. With Richa Ghosh as the first-choice keeper, Yastika Bhatia has settled in as the pure batter.
Bangladesh made two changes to the XI in their last game against Australia at home, with top-order batsman Shovana Mostari replacing Ritu Moni and spin all-rounder Shorifa Khatun in place of offspinner Sultana Khatun.
Both teams are coming off series defeats against Australia and will be keen to return to form with an eye on the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh in September-October.
