Rishabh-Pant’s DC was 10 minutes behind at the start of the last over.

The suspension and hefty fine come as this is D.C.’s third offense this season. The rest of the DC players with impact substitutes have been fined INR 12 lakhs or 50% of their match fee, whichever is less.

DC filed an appeal challenging the match referee’s decision which was sent to the BCCI Ombudsman for review. The ombudsman conducted a virtual hearing and said that the match referee’s decision is final and binding.
