Braden Sanders + 2026 (Zachary HS)

6’5″ 190 lbs. Projectable frame with long limbs and a ton of room to add power. The Zachary product could earn himself more opportunities this season, after a great day Saturday. In two games, against Northshore and Calvary Baptist, he Went 3-5 at the plate with 2 RBI and 2 SB. He across a rightly good arm against Calvary Baptist in 2024 LHP Landon Fontenot, and turned in some of the best at-bats of the night out of the southpaw. Sanders struck out in his first at-bat in the zone. on a really good breaking ball, and then singled up an 87 mph FB for a line drive in the middle of his second at-bat. He needs to continue to improve his breaking hit ability. The ball and his defense and arm, but the talent and potential There’s no denying the upside that the unstoppable sophomore has.

Prep Baseball Louisiana strength 25 Rankings (Week 4)

The Louisiana high school baseball season began on Monday, February 19, 2024 with regular season action under LHSAA regulations. Leading up to Opening Day, we previewed our teams ahead of the 2024 spring season, touching on programs spanning all classifications, counting through the official Prep Baseball Louisiana Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

From Opening Day, our scouts cover the 2024 season and will publish the Scout Blog and additional in-season content, such as our Power 25 Update, Player of the Week Awards, Scout Blog, Diamond Notes and more.

The top 5 again underwent some minor changes after the third week of the high school season, as the top 3 teams remained intact from last week. Catholic BR is our #1 team, for the fourth week in a row, after another impressive 3-0 week, bringing their season record to 12-0. After defeating St. Charles Catholic in their mid-week matchup, the Bears defeated Live Oak by a score of 4-1 on Thursday and 11-1 on Saturday. Sam Houston checked in at #2 after opening district play last week, where they scored a couple of close wins against Acadiana, going 2-1 in each ballgame.

The Broncos will be tested this week, as they meet district-rival Barb on Thursday and Saturday. For the second week in a row, Natchitoches Central is ranked #3 in our Power 25 rankings. The Chiefs were undefeated on Saturday, but fell to Alexandria by a score of 3-0, bringing their season record to 11-1. Benton moved up six spots this week to #4, after a perfect 4-0 week, bringing their overall record to 12-2. The Tigers open district play with a big two-game series against Natchitoches Central, Game 1 on Thursday and Game 2 on Saturday. St. Amant moved up three spots this week to #5 and currently owns a 12-3 overall record. The Gators dropped a game to Ponchatoula last Tuesday before winning four straight against Vandebilt Catholic, Destrehan, Ruston and Mandeville.
