DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers – MLB DFS Lineup Picks Today

Joe Ryan vs. CWS ($10,400 DraftKings; $10,600 FanDuel)

The White Sox scored the fewest runs in baseball with just 50 runs in 23 games. To put how bad it is in perspective, the next team with a short run is the Athletics. They scored 68 runs in 24 matches. No other team in baseball scored fewer than 80 runs. Ryan has a 1.06 WHIP and 30 strikeouts in 22.2 innings so far this season. He will likely be included in many DFS lineups and rightfully so.

Renaldo Lopez vs. MIA ($9,200 DraftKings; $10,400 FanDuel)

Lopez was excellent for the Braves, allowing one or no runs in all three of his starts. He has a 0.94 WHIP and has yet to allow a home run Given his career 4.22 ERA and 1.29 WHIP, regression will likely come for him as the season progresses. However, he’s still a great option for matchups with the Marlins, who have the second-worst OPS in baseball and lost one of their best hitters in Jake Berger (oblique).

Clark Schmidt vs. OAK ($8,900 DraftKings; $8,900 FanDuel)

We already touched on how worsened the Athletics have been when we were highlighting the struggles of the White Sox. Not only did the Athletics score runs hard, they also struck out the most times in baseball. Schmidt doesn’t often pitch deep into games, but he has logged at least five innings in three of his four starts this year. He allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last three starts. This is nother matchup to try and exploit in DFS.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders – MLB DFS Lineup Picks Today

Jose Altuve – 2B, HOU vs. Jameson Taillon ($5,500 DK; $4,000 FD)

Altuve recorded two more hits in the first game of the series on Tuesday. It marked his sixth multi-hit performance in his last 11 games.  His 9.9 percent cask rate is his career high. Expect it to be a tough outing for Taillon, who is just starting his second season. Last year, he underwhelmed with a 4.84 ERA and a 4.61 FIP.

Ezequiel Tovar – SS, COL vs. Matt Waldron ($4,700 DK; $3,400 FD)

It’s likely to be a high-scoring affair at Coors Field. The Rockies could go with a bullpen game, while Waldron will take the mound for the Padres. In 60.1 career innings in the majors, he has a 4.92 FIP and 1.33 WHIP. There are certainly plenty of holes in the Rockies’ lineup, but Tovar is still someone to target for favorable matchups. He has a .366 wOBA out of the gate this year with three home runs and two stolen bases

Oswaldo Cabrera – 3B, NYY vs. Joe Boyle ($3,800 DK; $3,000 FD)

Cabrera did a great job filling in for DJ LeMahieu (leg) at third base. He already has three home runs after hitting just five home runs in 115 games last season. He lowered his strikeout rate to 18.2 percent, helping him produce a .337 wOBA. Next up is a friendly matchup against Boyle, who has a 1.71 WHIP and has allowed at least seven runs in two of his four starts.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders – MLB DFS Lineup Picks Today

Juan Soto – OF, NYY vs. Joe Boyle ($6,200 DK; $4,300 FD)

The Yankees have a few slumping hitters in their lineup, but Soto is certainly not one of them. He has shown an unbelievable eye at the plate, posting more walks (19) than strikeouts (16). Although he brings in a hefty salary, he’s one of the best options for this slate given how poorly Boyle has pitched.

Jordan Alvarez – OF, HOU vs. Jameson Taillon ($5,400 DK; $3,700 FD)

True to his lofty standards, Alvarez is off to a quiet start with a .191 ISO and a .365 wOBA. Given his 16.0 percent barrel rate and 48.1 percent hard-hit rate, those numbers will increase quickly, though. He also continues to be very selective at the plate, recording a 9.4 percent walk rate and 12.3 percent strikeout rate.

Given his career strikeout rate of 21.6 percent, Taillon is certainly not an unstoppable force.

Michael Harris II – OF, ATL vs. Sixto Sanchez ($4,600 DK; $3,200 FD)

Harris spent some time at second in the Braves lineup with OG Albies (toe) out. After Albies went down, Harris went 11-for-30 (.367) with one home run, four stolen bases and five runs scored. Sanchez is expected to start for the Marlins, but he hasn’t thrown more than 34 pitches in his seven relief appearances this season.
