Gujarat Titans 2024 team history:
Gujarat Titans is an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise that debuted in the 2022 season. Gujarat Titans represents the state of Gujarat in western India and was formerly known as the Gujarat Lions. The franchise was initially introduced in 2016 when two new Gujarat Titans teams, Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Supergiant’s, joined the IPL following the suspension of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Under the leadership of Suresh Raina, Gujarat Lions performed admirably in their inaugural season, reaching the playoffs. Over the next two seasons, they maintained a competitive edge but failed to secure a spot in the playoffs. After the 2017 season, both Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Supergiants were temporarily suspended from the IPL due to the return of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. However, in 2022, Gujarat Titans emerged as a rebranded version of the former Gujarat Lions franchise. With a fresh identity, Gujarat Titans aim to make their mark in the IPL and compete against the best teams in the league.
Delhi Capitals 2024 Team HIstory :
Delhi Capitals is one of the franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL), representing the city of Delhi. The team was initially known as the Delhi Daredevils when the IPL began in 2008. Under the ownership of GMR Group and JSW Group, the Delhi Daredevils experienced varied fortunes in the early years of the tournament. Despite possessing talented players, they struggled to consistently perform well in the league.
In the inaugural season of the IPL in 2008, Delhi Daredevils, led by Virender Sehwag, reached the semi-finals but failed to advance further. Over the subsequent seasons, they made sporadic playoff appearances but couldn’t clinch the title. Despite their struggles in the initial years, Delhi Daredevils managed to maintain a strong fan base and were known for nurturing young talents.
In 2019, the franchise underwent a significant rebranding and was renamed Delhi Capitals. This change coincided with a shift in the team’s approach, focusing more on youth development and strategic team-building.
