ESPN College baseball: Baseball fans were behavior to an breathtaking start to the 2024 NCAA Baseball Tournament.
Fourth-ranked Evansville upset No. 16 overall seed East Carolina in the Greensville Regional. Fifth overall seed Arkansas, a team that has long held the No. 1 overall seed, fell to Kansas State in its regional, while the other regional hosts, No. 9 Oklahoma, No. 11 Oklahoma State, No. 13 Arizona and No. 14 UC Santa Barbara, all falls within regional.
Omaha has no shortage of star contenders left for eight spots. Jack Caglianone and Florida survived after coming into Stillwater as the No. 3 seed. Charlie Condon and No. 7 Georgia defeated in-state rival Georgia Tech in an extra-inning Game 2 showdown. And thanks to a surging Gavin Gallagher, No. 4 North Carolina took down LSU in a controversial Game 3 to advance to the Super Regional.
The excitement has only just begun. Teams are now slated for the ESPN College baseball Super Regionals, where 16 teams will try to make it to eight.
