College Baseball Today :College baseball’s traditional Memorial Day NCAA Selection Show is less than 24 hours away, a time to find out which teams will lock up the final automatic bids to the tournament.
Thirteen conferences are set to hold championship games Sunday as the NCAA Selection Committee awaits results as the College World Series route to Omaha is finalized.
The marquee game will be the SEC final between top-seeded Tennessee and defending CWS champion LSU, which stormed through the bracket in Hoover as the No. 11 seed. The ACC title game features the only matchup of top-25 teams as No. 10 Florida State faces No. 17 Duke in Charlotte.
UNC may end up having the longest day at Wilmington Ballpark as weather wreaks havoc on the CAA Tournament schedule. The Seahawks await the winner of Saturday’s postponed game between Charleston and Delaware, which Charleston leads 10-1 in the seventh inning. If UNCW loses against the winner of that game, the teams must play again 45 minutes later.
