Chelsea are currently unbeaten in four games and will be looking to finish their campaign strongly.

The Blues have lost 10 of their 27 fixtures before this weekend’s round of fixtures, essentially their 11th loss of the season.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s men have booked a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup where they need to beat reigning champions Manchester City to secure a place in the final.

The Blues have a game in hand and are a point behind 10th-placed Newcastle.

Victory at Stamford Bridge against relegation-threatened Burnley on Saturday could potentially move them up to ninth, depending on the results of those around them.

Vincent Kompany’s troops look set to return to the Championship after picking up 17 points from their 29 games so far.

The Clarets are desperate for points and with nine games to go, time is running out. A win for Chelsea is not a given as relegation-threatened teams have shown in the past.

Burnley have shown glimpses of what they are capable of the all season and their hunger to survive could upset the applecart on Saturday evening.

Chelsea vs Burnley Prediction

Chelsea vs Burnley Prediction: Leaky defenses on both side

One of the main reasons why Burnley find themselves in the dogfight is their poor defence. The company’s men have leaked 63 goals this term – only Sheffield United have conceded more (74).

They have lost by three-goal margins five times and their most common margin of defeat is by two goals.

However, Chelsea have serious firepower that will trouble the Clarets. They have scored 23 goals in 13 home games for an average of 1.77 goals.

Pochettino will also be concerned about his backline as they have shipped 45 goals all season, with 20 coming at Stamford Bridge.

The visitors must take heart from those numbers and believe in their attack which has averaged a goal per game this term.

Chelsea vs Burnley Prediction: Recent wins from Burnley

Chelsea are unbeaten in 21 of their last 25 games at home in all competitions and have not been on the wrong end of the scoreline with Burnley in their last 10 meetings in the league.

The reverse fixture ended with the hosts winning 4–1 at Turf Moor while the last meeting at this ground ended 1–1 in 2021.

Both teams have found the net in the Blues’ last six Premier League matches. Burnley have enough of them to find the target on Saturday evening.

Chelsea vs Burnley Prediction and Betting Tip 2: Match winner and both teams to score

Chelsea vs Burnley Prediction: Frontline threats

Against the odds, Burnley could strike first and disrupt the status quo at Stamford Bridge. The Clarets have done so in six of their 14 away league games this season (43%).

Meanwhile, Chelsea have gone behind first in 52% (14) of all their Premier League matches this term. At home, the Blues have allowed their opponents to take the lead in five of their 13 games (38%).

Company’s troops should be on a high after beating brentford last time out, meaning they could make Chelsea’s nose bleed early on Saturday. Chelsea vs Burnley Prediction and Betting very important for game.

Chelsea vs Burnley Prediction and Betting Tip 3: 1st Team to Score.

Cole Palmer was ruled out of any game time for England this past week after reports of fitness concerns – but he was named on the bench for the game against Belgium and, although he did not feature, is not believed to have an injury. He should be available to play against Burnley to be significant. Another big-ticket summer signing who suffered his first injury with Chelsea, Christopher Nkunku, is still sidelined with a hamstring injury but his return is believed to be close and he could be back in time for next weekend’s game against Sheffield United.
